Breakout Connector Adapter for
Atlas Model Railroad Signals
|
Several model railroad signals made by Atlas have a 4-pin micro connector,
sometimes called a 'JST' connector, attached to the signal wires.
This mini connector makes connection to the Atlas signal control circuit simple, but what if you want to use a
different
control circuit?
These breakout connector adapters 'break out' the Atlas signal connections, giving you access to
the signal lights without cutting off the connector and having to solder those tiny wires.
Available with quick-connect spring terminal blocks, or with solder terminals.
- Single breakout for individual single-head signals
- Dual breakout for a dual-head signal or two single-head signals
|
|
BOA-1 has one of the above circuits, BOA-2 has two indentical circuits on board.
|
-
These breakout adapters include a 1,800 ohm resistor in series with the signal
common wire.
Atlas signals do not have resistors built in.

When the wires from your Atlas signal are too short for convenient access, the Atlas signal extension
cable gives you a bit more reach. Male-to-female 4-pin JST connectors, 7 inches (18 cm) length.
Use one per signal head.
